This year's MHA Convention takes place on October 23rd & 24th at the Victoria Inn Hotel in Winnipeg.
The Convention kicks off on Monday with our MHA Annual General Meeting – your chance to hear the latest news about our association and have your say on its future direction. We will then move into an engaging line-up of convention presentations, with topics including AirBNB, cyber security, direct booking strategies, legalized marijuana, retail loss prevention, and more.
In addition to these timely industry discussions, we are excited to be featuring two Manitoba born, nationally-acclaimed presenters: Magician Chris Funk will be providing the entertainment at our Monday dinner, and TSN Broadcaster Sara Orlesky will deliver the keynote address at our Awards breakfast on Tuesday, prior to the opening of our trade show.

The Manitoba Hotel Association (MHA), in partnership with the Hotel Association of Canada (HAC), has released a new study which demonstrates that only 17% of Airbnb’s total revenue in Canada is generated by true home sharing where the owner is present during the guest’s stay. The other approximately 80% comes from hosts renting entire home units where the owner is not present.
